Designed to extend driving pleasure

The Turbo 100 engine is a 1,199 cm³ three cylinder unit delivering up to 101 hp (74 kW) at 5,500 rpm and 205 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm. Its new variable geometry turbocharger enhances responsiveness at low engine speeds, making urban driving and overtaking smoother while ensuring an engaging and enjoyable drive in all conditions.

Optimised efficiency

Fuel consumption and emissions of the Turbo 100 engine are optimised through a new high pressure direct injection system at 350 bar, a valve timing system that reduces internal friction, and new piston heads. The engine also operates on the Miller cycle with a high compression ratio, improving overall combustion efficiency and thermal performance.

Enhanced reliability

For enhanced driving pleasure, the Turbo 100 engine features a timing chain designed for superior durability. The engine block, pistons and rings have also been redesigned to improve overall robustness and ensure controlled oil consumption.

During development, the Turbo 100 engine underwent rigorous endurance testing in extreme conditions, including more than 30,000 hours on test benches simulating all driving scenarios. Prototype vehicles equipped with the engine covered over 1.86 million miles, with several exceeding 124,250 miles, clearly demonstrating its reliability.

Reduced maintenance

Models fitted with the new Turbo 100 engine will benefit from a reduced maintenance schedule, with a single service required every 2 years/16,000 miles (previously every 1 year/12,500 miles), complemented by an annual interim check.

*The fuel consumption achieved, and CO2 produced, in real world conditions will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to: the accessories fitted (pre and post registration); variations in weather; driving styles and vehicle load. The WLTP (Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicles Test Procedure) is used to measure fuel consumption and CO2 figures. Figures shown are for comparison purposes and should only be compared to the fuel consumption and CO2 values of other cars tested to the same technical standard. Official Fuel Consumption in MPG (l/100km) and CO2 emissions (g/km) for the 208 1.2L Turbo 100 are: Combined 47.7(5.9) - 56.8(5.0) and CO2 116 - 120g/km. For comparison purposes only. Range achieved in real world may differ according to factors such as accessories fitted, battery condition, weather, driving style and vehicle load.
