How can you find public charge points for an electric car?
In 2025, the UK had more than 120,000 charge points open to the public. To locate them, you can use PEUGEOT connected navigation when available, as well as smartphone apps such as e-ROUTES You can also use a community-based app such as Zapmap or Octopus Electroverse.

How can you easily find public charge points for electric vehicles?
The right tool mainly depends on what you need to do: plan a long journey, find a nearby charge point or manage a charging session. In most cases, one or two solutions are enough. For a long journey, dedicated electric-driving planning tools add charging stops directly to the route. To search around you, a map-based app lets you compare charging power, connectors and, when the information is available, charge point status.
PEUGEOT connected navigation and Trip Planner
depending on the equipment and activated services, to plan a long journey.
e-ROUTES
to prepare an electric journey from a smartphone.
MyPeugeot
to monitor and schedule selected remote charging functions.
Zapmap or Octopus Electroverse
to consult additional community-based information.
How can you find a charge point using your Peugeot navigation?
On vehicles equipped with built-in navigation, the system can display charge points and adapt the route to the vehicle’s available range. Feature availability depends on the model, trim level and activated connected-services package. Peugeot navigation goes beyond conventional route guidance. When combined with PEUGEOT Connect Plus and activated, the system can provide connected navigation with Trip Planner and services designed for electric journeys.

On a long journey, built-in navigation can help you estimate the available range and add charging stops when the distance exceeds it. The aim is to help you visualise each stage before departure and then adjust the route whilst travelling. You can compare several options according to the remaining distance, available charging power or preferred break duration. For example, you can choose a rapid charge point on the motorway, a charging station at a service area or a stop that better suits the pace of your journey. With Trip Planner, included in Connect Plus, you can plan a journey directly from the MyPeugeot app and send it from your smartphone to your vehicle. If you want to change the planned stop, you can search for another charge point through connected navigation or e-ROUTES and Octopus Electroverse on your smartphone.
On equipped models, planning a charging stop can prepare the battery before arrival. Bringing the battery to a suitable temperature supports more consistent rapid-charging performance, particularly in cold weather. When the stop is included in the route, the vehicle can anticipate arrival at the charge point and bring the battery towards a favourable temperature range. Charging power can therefore be better optimised from the first minutes of connection. You can also activate pre-conditioning manually.
For nearby charging, use your vehicle’s connected navigation when available, or an app such as Zapmap or Octopus Electroverse. Filters generally let you refine the search by power, connector, address or availability. This is particularly useful in town, near a meeting place, shopping centre, public car park or workplace. Before travelling, check the access conditions, tariff and any parking restrictions.
e-ROUTES: plan an electric journey without built-in navigation
Available on smartphones, e-ROUTES by Free2move Charge lets you prepare and follow a route suited to your Peugeot electric vehicle. The app is particularly useful when the vehicle does not have compatible built-in navigation.
e-ROUTES takes account of the battery level, estimated range, traffic and charge point availability along the route. The app recommends the required stops and can recalculate the route if conditions change. When the feature is available, e-ROUTES can be displayed on the vehicle screen through Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This keeps route-guidance and charging information clearly visible in the vehicle.
