The Peugeot E-208 GTi is an electric performance model designed to balance sporting capability with aesthetic elegance. Developed under the direction of Peugeot Design Director Matthias Hossann, the vehicle incorporates styling cues from the historic 205 GTi while utilising modern electric vehicle architecture and design principles.

Chassis and Exterior Design
The E-208 GTi features a wider and lower stance than the standard model. The body has been lowered by 25mm, while the front track is widened by 56mm and the rear track by 28mm. Flared lower sections on the wider wheel arches accommodate this increased width. These arches are detailed with a red line as a reference to the historic 205 GTi.

Aerodynamic enhancements include a front spoiler integrated into the bottom of the front bumper. At the rear, a gloss black aerodynamic diffuser houses a new LED rear fog light.

Wheel and Colour Specifications

The vehicle is equipped with 18-inch wheels designed in-house. The design combines elements from the Speedline wheels of the historic 205 GTi, featuring a centre curve inspired by the 1.6-litre variant and an exterior shape inspired by the 1.9-litre variant. The perforated structure of the wheels is functional, designed to optimise brake cooling.

Seven exterior paint options are available: Okénite White, Elixir Red, Miramar Blue, Nera Black, Cumulus Grey, Selenium Grey and Agueda Yellow.

Subtle red GTi detailing is applied to the front grille, headlights, front Peugeot emblem, wheel arches, front brake calipers and C-pillar badges.

The cabin features a red colour scheme that references the original 205 GTi. This includes bright red carpets, floor mats and seatbelts. The compact steering wheel is wrapped in perforated leather and Alcantara, finished with a red 208 GTi emblem.

The front sports seats are upholstered in a combination of Alcantara and a special red textile, featuring a central red line extending across the seat cushion and backrest. Drivers can also view red detailing on the rear spoiler through the rear-view mirror.

The design of the E-208 GTi balances the 200-year history of the Peugeot brand with modern styling. The design team drew inspiration from the 2018 Peugeot e-Legend concept, which was originally created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 504 Coupe. The design philosophy focuses on evolving historical shapes and colours into modern formats rather than creating a purely retro design.
