The 408 PLUG-IN HYBRID combines an efficient 1.6L petrol engine with a 92kW (125hp) electric motor. This is integrated into a dual-clutch seven-speed automatic electrified gearbox (e-DSC7). The powertrain produces a combined 221hp and 360Nm of torque. A 16.2kWh battery provides up to 50 miles of electric range (WLTP EAER) for ALLURE and GT trims, and up to 49 miles (WLTP EAER) for GT PREMIUM. A 3.7kW on-board charger is standard on ALLURE and GT trims, enabling a full recharge in 3 hours 25 minutes. GT Premium models are equipped with a 7.4kW on-board charger, reducing charging time to 1 hour 40 minutes.

 

E-408

The E-408 features a 58kWh usable capacity battery, delivering 210hp and 343Nm of torque. It offers an electric range of up to 283 miles (WLTP) for ALLURE and GT trims, and up to 281 miles (WLTP) for GT PREMIUM. Rapid charging up to 120kW is supported. Three levels of regenerative braking are available via steering wheel mounted paddles. Features include battery pre-conditioning and Vehicle to Load (V2L) functionality, allowing external devices to be powered by the car’s high-voltage battery. A V2L adapter is available as an accessory from PEUGEOT retailers. A heat pump is standard on GT Premium for cabin temperature conditioning and is available as an option on other trim levels.

ALLURE Trim

ALLURE trim includes FULL LED headlight technology, a gloss black front grille and door mirror shells, and dark-tinted rear windows. Convenience features comprise PEUGEOT Open & Go keyless entry and start system, adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function, rear parking sensors and an HD reversing camera. Dual zone automatic air conditioning and an electrochromic rear-view mirror are also standard. Four USB-C sockets (two front, two rear) are provided. E-408 ALLURE versions include heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

 

GT Trim

GT trim builds upon ALLURE features, adding PEUGEOT Matrix LED Headlight Technology, and illuminated PEUGEOT shield and front grille. The interior is upgraded with a grained leather steering wheel with GT logo and Alcantara facia and door panel inserts. Additional equipment includes an electric tailgate, lane position assist and front parking sensors.

 

GT Premium Trim

GT Premium trim includes Alcantara upholstery, three-stage heated front seats, an eight-programme multi-point massage function and four-way electric lumbar adjustment. Electrically adjustable front seats are standard. Additional driver assist features include rear cross traffic alert, long range blind spot detection and a 360° camera system. A ten-speaker FOCAL Premium Hi-Fi system is also included.
