Winding roads lined with majestic fir trees, villages with half-timbered houses, lakes and streams... Welcome to the Black Forest, a true natural treasure nestled in southwest Germany. From Freiburg im Breisgau to Baden-Baden, via Lake Titisee and the Triberg waterfalls, join us on an emission-free road trip, where electric performance rhymes with driving pleasure!

Leaving Freiburg im Breisgau, the sunniest city in Germany, the cobbled streets quickly give way to the first curves of the Black Forest mountains. Here, driving an electric car makes perfect sense: no engine noise, just the sound of birds singing. As soon as you leave the city, you can take advantage of the asphalt to exploit the dynamic capabilities of the PEUGEOT E-3008 and E-5008, both boasting 325 hp. You take on the bends, feeling the immediate torque of 509 Nm from both engines helping pull away with vigour. With the compact steering wheel of the Panoramic i-Cockpit in hand, the sensations are there from the first turns of the wheels!

A first stop is essential at Lake Titisee, a sort of mirror of water surrounded by the region's characteristic pine trees. The place is a life-sized postcard, ideal for a break before tackling the climb to Triberg. The bends tighten, the slope becomes steeper, but the PEUGEOT E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor can count on their four-wheel drive to remain extremely comfortable. The suspension settings specific to these versions allow them to offer even more dynamic handling. A glance at the speedometer: the range is still more than sufficient since we take full advantage of energy recovery on the descents. With a respective range of 303 and 289 miles (WLTP), we have plenty to see us through!

Arriving in Triberg, we take the time to admire the highest waterfalls in Germany, before strolling past the watchmakers' windows, where time passes to the rhythm of traditional cuckoo clocks. It's an opportunity to recharge our E-3008 and E-5008 at a fast charging station, where they accept up to 160 kW for a 20 to 80% charge in about 30 minutes. We also take the opportunity to enjoy a slice of Black Forest, the famous local cake. The ingredients? Soft chocolate where the airiness of whipped cream and the intensity of macerated cherries intertwine, all topped with cocoa nibs.

Feeling full, we hit the road again to complete our Black Forest adventure, heading to Baden-Baden, a spa town with timeless charm. This road trip in a PEUGEOT E-3008 and E-5008 Dual Motor proves one thing: driving electric doesn't take away from the pleasure of driving, quite the opposite.
