Porte d’Orléans, a beautiful September morning. The sun barely touched the road as we set off east in the new PEUGEOT E-5008. Destination: Sochaux, the historic birthplace of the Lion. A symbolic journey in more ways than one: a return to the brand’s origins, where it all began, and a showcase of expertise - the expertise of delivering a large electric family SUV, capable of seating up to seven passengers and covering long distances with zero emissions and no restrictions.

With its 73 kWh usable battery, the 210 hp version of the E-5008 delivers up to 310 miles of range (WLTP)*. The integrated route planner schedules two charging stops - not out of necessity, but for convenience - to maintain a reserve and ensure we can fully enjoy the roads of the Pays de Montbéliard region upon arrival. This is easily managed thanks to France’s extensive network of fast-charging stations. At motorway service areas, charging becomes a pleasant pause: time for a coffee or lunch… and in just 30 minutes, the 160 kW charging power boosts the battery from 20% to 80%.
