208 GTi

Advanced safety features ensure the Peugeot 208 GTi is as safe as it is athletic.
Enjoy a nimbler, more precise experience with total peace of mind.

The 208 GTi is always looking out for you. It features the new Active City Brake (Emergency Urban Collision Braking System technology), which helps avoid accidents or make them less serious. If you’re driving at speeds under 20 mph and the car in front stops suddenly, it automatically applies the brakes. It’s available with both the GTi and GTi by Peugeot Sport.

Peugeot 208 GTi ESP

One of the most advanced safety features available, ESP gives you added peace of mind:

  • ASR (Anti-Skid Regulation)
  • EBA (Emergency Brake Assist), which applies maximum brake pressure when you depress the brake pedal
  • ABS (Anti-lock Braking System), which prevents the wheels from locking up in the event of emergency braking, keeping you in control
  • BFD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution), which distributes brake force between the front and rear wheels.

Peugeot 208 GTi airbags

Drive with confidence, knowing that you and your passengers are protected with six airbags as standard. Driver and front passenger protection includes two front and two side airbags, while two front and rear curtain airbags protect those in the front and rear seats.

208 GTi optimised wheelbase

With its finely tuned running gear, stiffened suspension and tracks widened by 10 mm at the front and 20 mm at the rear, the 208 GTi follows the contours of the road with precision and agility.

Peugeot 208 connect sos and assistance

Peugeot Connect SOS is now in use in most major European countries, including the UK, and is technology that could prove vital in an emergency.

  • Automatic emergency call: if the airbags inflate or the seat belt pretensioners are triggered, the vehicle automatically makes an emergency call on behalf of the driver. Peugeot Connect SOS then locates the vehicle, establishes telephone communication with its occupants and arranges for the appropriate emergency service to be dispatched.

  • Manual emergency call: whether the victim or the witness of an emergency situation, the driver can call Peugeot Connect SOS quickly by pressing the SOS button located on the dashboard (and holding for 3 seconds).
