The Peugeot 406 was a large family car produced between 1995 and 2004 and underwent many facelifts throughout its lifetime.
It was crowned 'What Car? Car of the Year' in 1996 and was also popular as an executive car for the fleet market.
It launched in the UK with a stirring advert featuring M People's 'Search for the Hero' - often cited as one of the most memorable TV ads ever.
The 406 was available in three body styles - the 406 saloon, the 406 Coupe and the 406 SW estate.
The 406 saw it's successor, the 407, launch in 2004. Then, alongside the larger 607, the 407 was superseded by the Peugeot 508 in Spring 2011.
