Last year at the Paris Motor Show 2016, we shone a light on our latest SUVs with the 2008 SUV, all-new 3008 SUV and all-new 5008 SUV taking centre stage, also showcasing the new generation Peugeot i-cockpit. Our new Peugeot 3008 DKR race car also made an appearance ahead of its 2017 Dakar campaign.
The History of Peugeot at the Paris Motor Show
With a history dating back to 1898, the Paris Motor Show has the distinction of being the first motor show in the world. Over the years, Mondial de l’Automobile has played host to some of the most innovative new concepts in motoring, allowing car manufacturers to unveil their latest designs and technology against the backdrop of a city renowned globally for undeniable chic.
Generations of Peugeot classics have had their first public showing at the Paris Motor Show. The 308 CC and restyled 407 took centre stage in 2008, while the exceptional 508 and 3008 HYbrid4 – the world’s first full diesel hybrid – were unveiled in 2010.
French roots give the Paris Motor Show a special meaning for Peugeot, and we jumped at the chance to showcase our exciting new concept cars and production models in 2012. We introduced the next generation of Peugeot cars: a regeneration of the innovative, exciting models which wowed previous Parisian crowds, making the 2012 Paris Motor Show one of our biggest yet.
The Paris Motor Show 2016 was all about the SUV - offering three world premieres. Our three newest road models have made an appearance to show off the latest in new generation technology as well as striking design both inside and out. With the all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV and the all-new 5008 SUV models being released during 2017 - the Paris Motor Show 2016 offered the first glimpse into Peugeot’s latest stylish yet practical offerings in the SUV market.
Peugeot 2008 SUV
The compact SUV, available in four trims including the Peugeot 2008 SUV GT Line, brings sharp design and forward-thinking technology designed to offer an instinctive driving experience. From city brake and park assist to a reversing camera and grip control - Peugeot’s latest foray into the SUV market begins strong with the Peugeot 2008 SUV.
All-new Peugeot 3008 SUV
Updated with assertive, feline features and sharp definition, the initial striking nature of the all-new Peugeot 3008 continues when you reach the inside. Innovative technology including the newly revitalised PEUGEOT i-Cockpit® for high-tech comfort and security, offers drivers class-leading technology and style throughout the cabin. Released in January 2017 - the all-new Peugeot 3008 SUV also comes with the e-Kick: an electrically assisted scooter that can store and charge in the boot.
All-new Peugeot 5008 SUV
Launching in late 2017 - the all-new Peugeot 5008 goes one step further in the SUV category – introducing a beautifully crafted 7-seater SUV into the growing and competitive market. Elegant yet dynamic, the versatile all-new Peugeot 5008 brings seven individual seats that can be folded and removed in order to provide extra space. Once removed, they offer a record 780 litres of boot space - combining style and practicality and bringing the all-new Peugeot 5008 to the forefront of car craftsmanship.
Designed to take on terrains that mirror the likes of South America, Russia, Kazakhstan and China - the new Peugeot 3008 DKR was unveiled ahead of the 2017 Dakar season - and showed an extreme version of what Peugeot’s new SUVs are made of.
New Peugeot 3008 DKR
Keeping in line with its aggressive form from previous models, the latest Peugeot 3008 DKR update brings new styling and updated technical aspects. As well as improved suspension cooling for better handling and performance, small aesthetic updates to the chrome detailing, grille and tail lights give it a subtle yet effective refresh.
