HMRC announces 3008 Diesel HYbrid4 will have no 3% diesel surcharge plus a 10% BIK threshold

HMRC have announced that the 3008 Diesel HYbrid4:

• will not incur the 3% diesel surcharge
• will benefit from the 10% threshold for personal BIK taxation.
• will also benefit from 100% capital write-down allowance*

This excellent news means the 3008 Diesel HYbrid4 can save fleet and company car customers even more as well as providing a vehicle that reflects their company’s environmental responsibility.

508 passes ageing test

The 508 has passed Peugeot’s latest test with flying colours. Fleet News journalist Simon Harris took temporary ownership of a 508 which had the equivalent of 56,000 miles or three years’ typical use on the clock. Picking it up near Paris he drove it back to Peugeot’s UK HQ in Coventry, making close to 60 mpg for the 400-mile high-speed motorway journey.

Writing in September's Fleet News he also reported that 'The 508's 1.6 litre diesel...seemed as refined as the first time I tried one in a fresh-out-of-the-box model in January. The 508 actually felt in better condition after the trip than the Ford Mondeo I had been using which had just over 18,000 miles on the clock'. Click here to find out more.

Peugeot debuts two revolutionary vehicles at the Frankfurt M

Traditionally, Peugeot has always showcased new vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This year we have decided to unveil not one, but two revolutionary vehicles – the striking Peugeot 508 RXH and the HX1 concept car.

The 508 RXH is the second Peugeot, after the 3008, to benefit from our innovative diesel-electric hybrid technology. Distinctive and contemporary, both in its visual identity and dimensions, the 508 RXH is a stunning addition to the new 508 family.

Also making its worldwide debut is the HX1 concept car. Uniquely adaptable, its aerodynamic profile can change to suit the environment, driving conditions, or the needs of up to six occupants.
