Environment Agency adds Peugeot to its fleet choices

Environment Agency staff will be able to choose from Peugeot 207 and 308 models

Having a low emissions fleet is key for the Environment Agency.

Which is why their Company car drivers will now be able to choose from a selection of Peugeot 207 and 308 models – including the SR range.

The Environment Agency has included Peugeot as one of its preferred suppliers for its job and management car fleets in 2009/2010.

And Peugeot’s environmental commitment is key to this inclusion. In 2008, the UK’s best-selling* low-emissions vehicle in the sub 111g/km sector was the Peugeot 107 - recently enhanced with an even lower CO2 of 106g/km.

And the 207 and 308 were also in the top 10 of sub 121g/km vehicles sold. This makes Peugeot the leading UK low CO2 car producer in 2008.

Among the choices for Environment Agency employees in 2009/2010 will be the 308 SR HDi 110 EGC. This model was recently driven by John and Helen Taylor as they set a new Guinness World Record for fuel consumption – recording an incredible average 126mpg as they drove round the UK.

With 11,500 members of staff, the Environment Agency is the biggest organisation protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales, dealing with individual members of the public, community groups, industry, farmers, businesses of all sizes and the Government.
