5-star safety in the 308 CC

The all-new 308 CC is a car for all seasons. And it’s not just receiving plaudits for its style – it’s also been awarded a 5* EuroNCAP safety rating.

Recent tests saw the coupé cabriolet score 36 points out of a possible total of 37 for head-on and side impacts. This puts the 308 CC in the top 10 scores ever awarded since the EuroNCAP safety ratings first started.

From January, Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle will get behind the wheel of a Peugeot 207 S2000 for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC). Their arrival will see them competing alongside reigning IRC champion Nicolas Vouilloz and Belgian Freddie Loix in a trio of Peugeot 207s.

VAT cuts = savings for you

The recent government VAT reduction – from 17.5% down to 15% –means Peugeot’s prices have dropped by up to £608. The VAT cut was announced in Chancellor Alistair Darling’s Pre-Budget-Report at the end of November. And the 2.5% cut was passed on to customers from 1st December.

Built on the chassis of the 308 Hatch, the Tepee has been named ‘MPV of the Year 2009’. Judges for the annual awards praised its load space of up to 3,000 litres, ride-handling and finish.

A hybrid future

Peugeot Prologue was a star attraction at Paris Motor Show

It promised glamour, excitement… and a glimpse into Peugeot’s hybrid future. And this year’s Paris Motor Show lived up to its promise, attracting more than 1.4million visitors.

Among the first to be unveiled in Paris was the Prologue HYbrid concept car. It has significantly reduced CO2 emissions of 109g/km in the combined cycle. The car also has drive to all four wheels and a 2.0-litre HDi FAP engine.

The brief was to design a Peugeot for the megacities of the future. And after looking at more than 2,500 entries the judges decided on the electrically powered RD.
