Peugeot UK ready for final IRC event this weekend

Rally of Scotland
Peugeot UK's Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle will compete this weekend

He has already won the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge. And Kris Meeke intends to put on a Champion’s performance at the final rally of the year this weekend.

The Peugeot UK driver and co-driver Paul Nagle will compete in the eagerly anticipated Rally of Scotland from 19-21 November.

The pair won the 2009 IRC crown after the Rallye San Remo in September. They had led for much of the season, enjoying a series of podium finishes over nine rounds. And now it’s time for them to compete on home soil for the 11th and final round in front of an expected crowd of thousands.

Kris and Paul will begin the Rally of Scotland in their 207 S2000 on Thursday with the Ceremonial Start in the ground of Perth’s Scone Palace, followed by two super special stages. They will then continue to battle it out over two days against competitors including Guy Wilks in a Skoda Fabia S2000 and British Rally champion Kevin Cronin in a Fiat Abarth Punto S2000.

Spectators will enjoy a full day of rallying on Friday with five special stages, before the final six stages on Saturday. The podium finish will take place on Saturday afternoon at Stirling Castle.

And don’t worry if you can’t make it to Scotland. Simply log-on to the Peugeot’s rally pages and listen to live coverage of the whole event in a special broadcast from World Rally Radio. This will be broadcast every day of the rally and include live chats with the crews and up-to-the-moment rally news.
