The Peugeot 5008 has been awarded the maximum five stars in the NCAP safety rating

It’s the car ‘enjoyed by families, loved by drivers’. And now there’s even more reason to pre-order Peugeot’s new 5008 Compact MPV after it scored a maximum of five stars in its Euro NCAP assessment – making it the ideal family vehicle.

The Euro NCAP test is a stringent, global safety rating system that assesses a vehicle before it goes on sale. And the 5008’s five-star rating demonstrates the Compact MPV’s commitment to safety – with no compromise on performance and comfort.

Incorporating cutting-edge safety innovation, Peugeot has integrating rear curtain airbags in the third row of seats – a first for MPV’s – providing all-round family safety. A total of six airbags are fitted as standard on all models.

In a further commitment to keeping your family safe, the 5008 features an electric child lock system, Isofix child seat mountings that ensure child seats are securely attached to the vehicle structure and seven three-point inertia reel seat belts.

Meanwhile, state-of the-art absorption structures at the front and the rear of the 5008 MPV can channel energy from impact with ease and control. The side panels and doors offer maximum rigidity and provide a solid barrier to protect passengers. The 5008 also incorporates innovative shell technology to cater for pedestrian safety.

The Euro NCAP rating combines scores from a range of individual checks carried out on the vehicle, taking into account Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection, and Pedestrian Protection. The results from all three categories are used to analyse the safety capabilities with adults, children and pedestrians in mind.
