Beat the VAT increase this Christmas with Peugeot

‘Tis the season to be jolly – especially if you’ve put a new Peugeot at the top of your Christmas list.

Order a brand new model before December 31 – for delivery between January 1 and March 29 – and you’ll beat the VAT increase, which rises from 15% to 17.5% on January 1. This means you’ll enjoy a customer saving equivalent to 2.5% on the price of the ordered car.

Peugeot’s electric iOn is on its way

Peugeot is the world’s top-selling manufacturer of electric vehicles. And now it’s set to add to its line-up with the eagerly awaited iOn.

Interest is already flooding in for the four-door, four-seat urban vehicle, which was unveiled at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show. Reigning IRC Champion Kris Meeke will continue to race for Peugeot UK in 2010.

Kris wrapped up the 2009 season in style, with Peugeot also securing its third consecutive IRC Manufacturers' title.

And Kris has now confirmed he’ll stay with Peugeot UK in 2010, along with co-driver Paul Nagle in their 207 S2000.

Kris Meeke has capped his amazing Intercontinental Rally Challenge season with a stunning victory in his Peugeot 207 S2000 in the Rally of Scotland.

It was the Battle of the Brits as Peugeot UK’s Kris and Skoda’s Guy Wilks fought it out, trading stage wins as they slithered through the Scottish forest tracks made treacherous by torrential downpours during Day 1 and 2.

With the 2009 IRC drivers’ title already under his belt, Peugeot UK’s Kris Meeke devastated the competition once again on the first day of the inaugural Rally of Scotland.

Rain, gales and weather warnings had greeted the ceremonial start and opening spectator stages at Scone Palace on Thursday evening. And the rain returned on Friday, leaving rally rivals Kris and Guys Wilks (Skoda) to fight to keep their cars on the road in the treacherous conditions.

Peugeot UK ready for final IRC event this weekend

He has already won the 2009 Intercontinental Rally Challenge. And Kris Meeke intends to put on a Champion’s performance at the final rally of the year this weekend.

The Peugeot UK driver and co-driver Paul Nagle will compete in the eagerly anticipated Rally of Scotland from 19-21 November. And don’t worry if you can’t make it to Scotland.
