Kris Meeke optimistic after the Rally Islas Canarias

Peugeot competes in the fourth round of the 2010 IRC

Peugeot UK driver Kris Meeke is optimistic about retaining his Intercontinental Rally Challenge title, despite suffering a puncture on the Rally Islas Canarias.

Kris and co-driver Paul Nagle had dominated the rally in their 207 S2000 before suffering a puncture on Stage 8, losing one and three quarter minutes. Despite this, they battled on and finished fourth – a placing that sees Kris and Paul fourth in the Driver Standings.

Peugeot RCZs to race at Nürburgring 24 Hours

What better way to mark Peugeot’s bicentennial than a thrilling high-octane race… in the new, sublime RCZ.

To celebrate both the momentous anniversary and the launch of the 2+2 sports coupé, Peugeot is competing for the first time in the classic Nürburgring 24 hours race. Taking place on 15-16 May, the two RCZs – both 2.0-litre HDi FAP models – will be numbered 200 and 201, in honour of Peugeot’s 200-year history.

Peugeot Sport Owners Club Celebrates 25 Years

Peugeot has a lot to celebrate in 2010. As well as its epic 200th birthday, it is the 25th anniversary of the Peugeot Sports Owners Club (PSOOC) and the 10th anniversary of Pugfest.

Set up in 1985, the club was originally for owners of Peugeot’s celebrated 205 GTis. It has now extended its remit to include all Peugeot owners, especially owners of Peugeots’ sporting cars such as XS, XSi and GTis.

It’s already won plaudits for its sublime curves and double bubble roof.

And now Peugeot’s new RCZ sports coupé has proved it’s equally as impressive on the move after winning its category in a gruelling 24-hour race. Two RCZs were entered into the Nürburgring 24 Hour race under numbers 200 and 201 – a nod to Peugeot’s 200-year anniversary.
