Visit this summer's Taste Festivals

Calling all food-lovers! This summer sees the arrival of the gastronomic event of the year – the 2009 Taste Festivals.

And Peugeot is an official sponsor of the culinary festivals, which are taking place in Edinburgh, London and Birmingham from May until mid-July. Visitors will be able to sample the delectable produce from more than 150 food and drink producers.

They’ll also get the chance to take a closer look at the all-new Peugeot 308 CC – A Car for all Seasons. On sale from June, it’s the perfect opportunity to check out the coupé cabriolet’s Airwave Neck Heating System, technology that keeps you warm even with the roof down.

Peugeot is sponsoring The French Flair Theatre where visitors will be able to watch celebrity French chefs creating a selection of delicious dishes. Among them will be Jun Tanaka, presenter of Channel 4’s Cooking It and owner of the famous Pearl Restaurant.

He says: ‘I’ll be demonstrating in front of people and I love cooking that way. When I first did it was so nerve-wracking. It’s not like TV in that you can always have a second chance. And with a camera you don’t see your audience, so it’s very different when they are standing there in front of you – you have to engage people but it’s great fun.’

Other festival highlights include a Taste Theatre featuring live cookery demonstrations, and the Taste Kitchen with tips on how to prepare mouth-watering food at home.

The Taste Festivals are taking place at three venues across the UK:
Inverleith Park, Edinburgh – 29-31 May
Regents Park, London – 18-21 June
Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham – 9-12 July
