Peugeot wins at Spa
Team Peugeot Total is victorious in Spa

Team Peugeot Total celebrated a crucial victory last weekend in the run up to Le Mans 24 Hours.

The 1,000km of Spa is a key date in competitive preparations for the gruelling Le Mans race. And Peugeot’s No. 7 908 HDi FAP, driven by Nicolas Minassian and Simon Pagenaud, was first past the chequered flag.

Pagenaud also recorded the fastest race lap time of 2m 2.569s.

Team Manager Olivier Quesnel says: "With Le Mans fast approaching, the win has done the team a great deal of good and I am very pleased with our overall performance at Spa.”

Peugeot also entered a second 908 HDi FAP, driven by Marc Gené and David Brabham. In preparation for June’s Le Mans 24 Hours, the two cars ran on different tyre strategies.

Olivier Quesnel adds: “We now have more private testing to come before Le Mans and, following today's race, I have to say that the petrol and diesel cars seem very close in performance terms.”
