Peugeot UK prepares for the IRC second round in Brazil

Peugeot UK will be raring to go when the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) arrives in Brazil on 4 March.

With a gruelling few days ahead of them, Kris Meeke and Paul Nagle are ready to challenge for leadership in Curitiba and hope to blow the competition away in the Peugeot 207 S2000.

Driving conditions will be very different to the slush and icy passes of Monte Carlo as Curitiba is known for its dry, dusty, gravel surfaces.

Kris and Paul emerged victorious at Curitiba in 2009 and the course layout is almost unchanged for the forthcoming rally, which bodes well for the boys in the Peugeot 207 S2000. Plus, none of the
front-runners challenging this year have competed on the Curitiba stage before – another good sign for Peugeot UK.

At just under 500km in length, Curitiba is very compact and is the shortest rally on the IRC rally calendar.

Near-tropical climates and arid road surfaces will make for an exhilarating 15 stages that are scheduled to run over Friday and Saturday, but be sure to catch Thursday’s exciting qualifying round where Peugeot UK will be keen to be quick off the mark.
