Kris Meeke aims for a back-to-back IRC win in Argentina

Kris Meeke will be targeting a second win in a row at the Intercontinental Rally Challenge (IRC) in Argentina.

After Peugeot UK’s superb performance in Brazil two weeks ago, Kris and co-driver Paul Nagle will be out to win round three of the IRC 2010 in style. Rally Argentina takes place in the scenic town of Carlos Paz and is tipped to be one of the highlights of the IRC calendar.

The area is known for its challenging surfaces, unpredictable weather conditions and water-splashes that will make for exhilarating, high-octane rally driving.

This is the first year Carlos Paz has hosted the IRC and there are 15 stages scheduled over the three days. Although the rally is known for its soft surface, organisers have included an asphalt stage called the Super Special Stage Carlos Paz. The additional stretch is linked by two hairpin bends and the boys – in the dynamic Peugeot 207 S2000 – will be eager to make some real headway on the harder surface.

Kris admits his knowledge of the stages is limited but taking into account the form he and Paul showed in Brazil, the 2009 IRC winners will have their eyes fixed on first place in Carlos Paz.
