A wide range of Peugeot’s stylish 308 hatchback and SW models will now be fitted with ESP (Electronic Stability Programme).

Peugeot’s ESP is an active safety system that uses sensor technology to keep the car stable and help counteract skidding on uneven or icy road surfaces – vital in the winter months.

And it will now be fitted as standard on all 308 SW models and hatchbacks, apart from the Urban.

When approaching challenging driving conditions, ESP sensors connected to the anti-lock brake and traction control systems can instantly reduce engine power and enable smooth cornering, helping drivers counteract sliding or skidding.

The introduction of ESP as standard on most models in the 308 hatchback and SW ranges adds to the existing raft of safety equipment which includes Smart Airbages, ABS and electronic traction control.

Peugeot is also fitting the 308 Sport hatch, and 308 Sport and SE SW models with its innovative new in-car entertainment system. The Peugeot Connect USB and Bluetooth platform is ideal for music lovers and drivers that need to do business while on the road. It can be linked to an MP3 player or iPod and provides full Bluetooth coverage.
