The Peugeot 207 - the best selling car in its class in Europe


We always knew it was popular…and now we know just how much!

In its first full year on sale, Peugeot’s 207 has become the best selling car in its class in Europe.

Between January 2007 and December 2007 the Peugeot 207 sold an impressive 437,505 cars. This saw it accelerate to best-seller status, beating Volkswagen Golf, Ford Focus, Renault Clio and the BMW 3 Series.

Since its launch in the UK in July 2006, the Peugeot 207 range has expanded from the initial three-door and five-door hatchback models. Now there is the stunning 207 CC, the sporty 207 GTi THP 175 and the innovative and practical 207 SW.
 
And in a further sign of its popularity, in the UK alone almost 100,000 207s have been sold in just 18 months.

This makes the Peugeot 207 the UK’s sixth best selling car and the highest placed French car in 2007.
